BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Unless agreed otherwise, you must confirm your enrolment details and pay the full amount for the course at least 10 working days prior to the commencement of the course. Once your enrolment is confirmed, Docklands Media will send you an e-mail with the relevant information about your course, including the date, location and any other specific arrangements which may have been made upon agreement.
After attending the training you have paid for, in the unlikely event of having to cancel or postpone your free refresher course, you shall not be entitled to any form of reimbursement. Docklands Media reserves the right to cancel or postpone your course if it is being offered as a free refresher session. The refresher courses are only offered for the public training sessions, and cannot be used to retake a tailored training course. In any case, your place on the course will only be confirmed upon receiving the aforementioned e-mail. If you have not received this e-mail, for whatever reason, at least 10 working days in advance, please let us know, in order to avoid disappointment.
PAYMENT & FEES
Unless stated otherwise, all prices exclude VAT. Payments for the courses must be made at least 10 working days prior to the first day of the course. These payments can be made by bank transfer, cheque, cash, credit/debit card or online. A 4% surcharge will be added to card payments and online payments. Whenever you are making a payment, you must include your full name, contact details and course details or invoice number. The discretionary discount offered on any course is only applicable to the standard company price (full price) of the course and cannot be combined with the “self-funding, online, bundle, student” discounts. Similarly, courses which are already discounted such as online courses or a bundle do not qualify for further discounts (i.e. it is not possible to claim a student or a charity discount for an online course or bundle). Docklands Media reserves the right to make changes to prices without notice. However, changes made to these terms shall not affect any payment you have already made or agreed to make.
CANCELLATION
Student:
If you notify Docklands Media in writing and receive a response which acknowledges your notification at least 20 working days before the first day of your course, you will receive a full refund. If, for whatever reason, you withdraw within 20 working days the following fees will remain payable:
– 20 – 11 working days prior to course commencement – 50% of course fee
– 10 – 0 working days prior to course commencement – 100% of course fee
You may also request to move your booking to another date by giving Docklands Media at least 20 working days’ notice.
If the booking has been transferred onto a different date without sufficient notice (i.e. less than 20 working days), you may not request a refund for the subsequent bookings as the initial booking would have been considered as “non-refundable” due to insufficient notice.
If you wish to cancel part of your booking (i.e. the intermediate part of the Fast Track Silver course, the advanced part of the Fast Track Gold course, a Fast Track course from a bundle, etc.) within the timeframes mentioned above, the full prices for the individual courses, without any applicable discount, will be taken into account. The fee you have paid will be deducted from the original cost (company rate) of the course and the difference will be refunded. When cancelling a part of the booking, you shall give Docklands Media sufficient notice as per the chart above, for each level of training individually (i.e. if there is more than 20 working days between the beginner and intermediate levels of your booking, you may notify Docklands Media 20 days prior to the start date of the intermediate level to receive a refund for the intermediate part of the booking, etc.)
For partial refunds, the special discounts (such as the self-funding discount, online discount, early-bird discount, freelancer discount, etc.) will be disregarded and the calculations will be based on the original price (company rate) of the course minus the fee you have paid for the courses.
Docklands Media:
Docklands Media will make every effort to deliver the training course that you receive a confirmation for. In the unlikely event that it is not possible for Docklands Media to deliver the course on the agreed dates, you will receive notification at least 10 working days in advance and have the right to request a full refund or transfer your booking onto an alternative date. If the booking of a free course, such as a promotional course or a refresher, is cancelled or postponed, the student shall not seek any form of reimbursement. The student will have the option to postpone the free refresher course to the next available public date or cancel the free booking.
In the unlikely event of Docklands Media failing to notify the student, or should the original course need to be cancelled/postponed without notice, the liability of Docklands Media will be limited to the amount paid by the student for the course only.
In any circumstance, the liability of Docklands Media will be limited to the amount paid for the course only. Docklands Media accepts no liability for any charges related to the booking except for the cost of the training course as per the invoice issued upon booking.
Refunds:
Any refund that has been agreed upon shall be made by Docklands Media within 30 working days of the written agreement (i.e. email or letter correspondence.) Once the student has attended and completed the agreed training course, a refund cannot be made. Refunds can only be issued to the account from which the original payment was made.
REFRESHER COURSES
As part of the post-course support, you are entitled to come back and retake the same course(s) that you’ have originally paid for and attended. This excludes bespoke/private courses. Although Docklands Media will make every effort to book you onto the next available public scheduled course, your place on a refresher course cannot be guaranteed. Docklands Media reserves the right to cancel your refresher course due to factors such as “low-fill” or in order to allow a new student to attend the course for the first time. If your refresher course is cancelled, you will be offered to move your booking onto the next available date or another alternative, which will need to be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis. You shall not be entitled to any form compensation for cancellations/amendments of the refresher course(s).
POST-COURSE SUPPORT
Once a student has completed the training course, she/he can come back and retake the same course again within 24 months, starting from the first day of the original training course. Alternatively, if the student only needs help with a quick issue (i.e. a tool not working the way it was explained on the course, or a technical issue such as a command not functioning properly, the software crashing too frequently, etc.) the student can email Docklands Media (support@docklandsmedia.com) and one of our instructors will help the student solve the issue. If the issue is caused by a hardware issue, or if it is related to a software “bug”, Docklands Media shall not offer any support. If the student needs help with a considerable number of subjects or if our instructors believe that the student’s request is too complex to answer via email, or decide that in order for the student to perform certain tasks he or she is having difficulty with, the student will need to re-attend the training course, a free retake will be offered to the student. The post-course support is not offered if a student needs help with certain “how-to” explanations. For such cases, the free retake option shall be offered to the student.
The post-course support shall only be offered as a “technical support” method as explained above. If the student needs further help related to a particular project or work, a “consultancy service” can be provided. This consultancy service is not part of the free post-course support and the terms shall be agreed upon by both the client and Docklands Media before any consultancy takes place.
NON-ATTENDANCE
If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked without giving Docklands Media enough notice, as stated above, the full fee will remain payable.
You may transfer your confirmed place to another person by giving Docklands Media notice at least 1 working day prior to the commencement of the course.
– Docklands Media reserves the right to change these terms at any time, effective immediately upon becoming public on the website, without any notice.
