Maxon Cinema 4D Training Courses

C4D is an amazingly powerful and versatile software that allows you to create stunning 3D visuals from still imagery to animations. It is used widely in film and TV, social media, and advertising. Its learning curve is not as steep as some of its competitors, making it amongst the easiest 3D applications to learn, if taught properly by an expert.

The time it takes to learn Cinema 4D can vary depending on your current skills, the level of proficiency you want to achieve, and how much time you can dedicate to learning. You can learn the basics of C4D in just two days with our Cinema 4D Beginner course.

If you want to learn more than just the basics, you can consider our 5-day Fast Track Silver course, which takes you to an intermediate level.

Or if you are really serious about learning all the ins and outs of C4D, you can attend our Fast Track Gold course, which is our most comprehensive programme.

Generally speaking, no. But the difficulty of learning Cinema 4D will vary depending on your background and experience with similar software as well as having an open mind about learning new skills! If you aren’t sure, you can always start with our Cinema 4D Beginner course and see for yourself!

The cost of the training depends on the level and the duration that you would like to attend. Generally speaking, they range from £275 to £1045. Please refer to the individual courses or bundles that you would like to attend to find out more about the prices.

However, if travelling here is not very convenient, you can also attend these live sessions as an online student from wherever you are in the world. Cinema 4D does take advantage of having as much processing power, memory and GPU as possible. So the short answer is, the more you can afford, the better. However, there are some minimum system requirements for C4D to run in a stable way.

Windows 10 Version 20H2 or higher
macOS 11.7.7+ (Big Sur) or higher

Memory:
16GB Minimum – but the more the better. 

GPU:
Windows:
NVIDIA Maxwell GPU, AMD Polaris,  or newer.

macOS:
Metal v2 (Mac2) or higher or Apple 7 (M1) or higher.

If you wish to bring your own computer and learn with that, you’d be welcome to do so.  But if not, we do provide the computers for our classroom training sessions at our studios.

If you’re joining the training sessions remotely as an online student, then yes, you do need to have your own computer with Cinema 4D installed.  

If you are attending a public scheduled group course, you would be following a pre-determined syllabus and use the same files/exercises as the rest of the group. However, if you would like to work on your own files, we would recommend attending a Tailored Training course, where we can customise both the outline, the dates and the location of the course. 

After Effects is primarily used to create 2D animations and visual effects. Although it has some 3D features, it is nowhere as advanced as Cinema 4D is, when it comes to 3D modelling, animation and rendering. However, with the integration between After Effects and Cinema 4D, you can use 3D content created in Cinema 4D inside of After Effects. So, while Cinema 4D can provide an extra advantage for complex 3D projects, you can still create many visual effects and animations using After Effects alone.
